Summer is officially here and what a beautiful spring session it was.  Summer time in Northeastern PA is a wonderfully awesome time.  There's Hiking, Biking, Kayaking, Canoeing, Swimming.  It's time to get out and explore the world around us.

And making that happen is a lot easier than you think.   Join the Friends of Beltzville State Park's Beltzville on the Move.

What is Beltzville on the Move? Beltzville on the Move is a local outdoor activities program sponsored by the Friends of Beltzville State Park and designed to stimulate friendly competition among outdoor enthusiasts and allows participants to set personal goals and then strive to achieve those goals. The program allows you to log the number of hours that you would like to accomplish while participating in different outdoor activities both within Beltzville State Park and outside the park at other parks or just within your own neighborhood. (To submit time, Click Here).  This quarters' program session  will start Saturday April 2nd with a small casual get together at the Environmental Ed Center at Beltzville State Park and go through June 30th.

And it's or we're a lot closer than you think. Beltzville State Park is within an hour of Allentown, Easton, Stroudsburg, as well as North in the lower valley cities and West to the coal regions.

Activities will include, Swimming, Biking, Skating, Rowing, Kayaking, Canoeing, Trail Running, and Hiking/Walking.

Well how does it all work?  Well it's a lot easier than you think too.
First (1) Think about the different activities you would like to participate in and then set the goal (in total hours) for one, a few or all activities you'd like to do.  Here are the program award levels.
